One Eyed Oracle
Boris Buhot (Be-U-Oh) is a Canadian independent songwriter with songs inspired from an eclectic array of tastes set within an alt-grunge-folk format. His thought provoking music, and versatility as a vocalist/multi-instrumentalist have stirred music journalists to note his live performances as being “powerfully original” “talented and compelling” “a passionate artist”. 1041, the follow-up debut album to the EP We’ll Be Flying, were both released under the peacemaking moniker United Truce.
United Truce was imprinted by that era of music caught between the post Beatles and 1984. The debut album 1041, was largely crafted in the late 70’s and early 80’s, but not recorded and produced until almost 30 years later under the guidance of Wellesley Sound Studios Jeff McCulloch, containing flavours of punk and 70’s new wave rock.
Boris’ songs resonate with “menacing energy” and a sweeping range of ideologies based around themes of mother earth, social justices, and the human condition, with a personal philosophy surrounded around Earth-kind, spirituality, responsibility, and brotherhood. After 11 years, and guided by a dream, Boris has decided to write under a new name, thus the birth of “One Eyed Oracle”. “In this way I am honouring the progress that that continuous commitment, hardwork, and sacrifice has taken the inner artist to get to this point, while still holding true to those ideals that started the journey to begin with; we all evolve.” “if you dare, to be become aware, turned on is what you’ll become” from ALL I AM in 1041, by United Truce.
